Confession time: I am so bogged down with work that I have no time to cook, much less blog about it. So to keep my readers happy, how about I deliver on that Contest I promised you here a while back?
Last October, my 4th book as a ghost writer of chef recipe collections came out. Called À la bonne franquette, it brings together family recipes from 80 of Québec’s top chefs—plus a 16-region presentation of the best artisan foods and agrotouristic events our part of the world has to offer.
At this point, the book is sold out and the warehouse is empty. Will my publisher order a second printing, your guess is as good as mine. We seem to be waiting to see if farflung bookstores return unsold copies en masse. So unless your public library owns a copy, this might be your only chance to get your hands on the book. Caveat: It’s in French.
Contest rules are pretty simple. Tell me what was YOUR favourite homecooked meal growing up in the Comments section—just click on the green box in the upper right corner. One comment per person please. On March 12, I’ll draw a winner from the answers received. There are no restrictions, meaning, yes I will ship the book anywhere in the world. (If you are from a country with touchy import laws, you’ll have to give me a chance to familiarize myself with them though.)
I have seen many blogs limit themselves to North America or Europe, so maybe I am being naive, but then I never thought naiveté was such a bad thing, in fact as the mom of a 4-year-old, I value innocence more and more actually…
That’s it. So comment away and Good Luck!
