Book: Des kiwis et des hommes

The companion cookbook to popular Québec TV show Des kiwis et des hommes, this collective brings together the famous chefs who come to cook on the show Monday through Friday. As the book’s credited writer, I was mandated by the publisher to develop the concept centered around local produce, choose recipes from the show’s first years, research 30 local products, and interview show host Francis Reddy as well as local Marché Jean-Talon farmers. The book is divided according to fruit and vegetables featured inside recipes, closely following the Québec produce calendar. The book also includes a short list of popular food trails, plus a fruit and vegetable seasonal chart drawn in collaboration with Québec’s farmer union (UPA).
