I usually buy a lot of cookbooks in any given year. Too much, actually. So in 2013, I decided to slowdown and bought or received only Québécois cookbooks. If I had listened to my cookbook buying compulsion, let’s face it, there’s no other words to describe it, the list of books I craved is long and expensive.
There are four books out there that I will unable to resist for long, I already know, like the reedition of Ottolenghi: The cookbook (I already own and love Plenty and Jerusalem), David Tanis’ One Good Dish, Vegetable Literacy by Deborah Madison (okay, that one will happen one day for sure), the eBook Modernist Cuisine by Nathan Myhrvold. You may want to check them out.
If you are interested in Québécois and French cuisine, that said, you can switch over to the French side of this blog for my Christmas 2013 suggestions. Those I SO own.
